The banner does not show.
Check that the banner is switched on in ClearCrumb → Banner, then open your site in a private window. If you already answered, the banner stays hidden; use the floating button to reopen it. Clear your page cache after the first setup.
A video or map stays blank after consent.
Clear your page cache, then reload. If an optimiser delays scripts, exclude ClearCrumb (see Cache plugins).
Google Analytics shows fewer visits.
That is expected with opt-in: visitors who reject are not counted. Use Consent Mode advanced if you want Google to model the missing data.
Two cookie banners show.
Your old consent plugin is still active, or your theme has its own notice. Deactivate the other one.
The scanner finds nothing.
Keep the scanner tab open and in front until it finishes. Pages behind a login are not scanned in the free plugin.
US visitors see the EU banner.
Your server is not passing a country. On Cloudflare this works by default; on other hosts the time zone fallback decides. Check Geo rules.
Is ClearCrumb GDPR compliant?
ClearCrumb gives you what the GDPR and ePrivacy rules ask of a cookie banner: prior consent, equal Reject, granular categories, easy withdrawal and records. Compliance also depends on how you use the data, so it is not legal advice.
Does ClearCrumb support IAB TCF?
Not yet. TCF is needed mainly by publishers who sell ads through Google AdSense or Ad Manager to EU visitors. Tell us if you need it.
