A banner that shows but does not block is the most common consent mistake. The Leak Test catches it.
What it does
The Leak Test loads up to 15 of your pages twice, with blocking on:
- As a brand-new EU visitor who has not answered. Anything optional that loads here is a leak.
- After Accept all, to show what your visitors get once they agree.
The test ignores your own saved choice, so you do not need a private window.
Read the report
- Leaks: listed services that loaded before consent. Click Block to fix.
- Unknown hosts: third-party addresses ClearCrumb does not recognise. Check them; they may be fonts, CDNs or trackers.
- Google tags in advanced Consent Mode and pixels with consent APIs on are shown as “denied”, not as leaks, because they run without cookies until consent.
