One switch adds a consent checkbox to every Contact Form 7 and WPForms form on your site. The form does not send until the visitor ticks it.
Turn it on
- Open ClearCrumb → Services & cookies.
- Find the card Consent checkbox in forms and switch it on.
- Change the Checkbox text if you like, then click Save.
The checkbox appears just above the submit button and links to your privacy policy (the page set in Settings → Privacy in WordPress).
What happens on submit

The checkbox text follows the visitor’s language when you leave it empty, like the banner.
Other form plugins
FillKite has its own consent field, so you do not need this switch there. For other form plugins, add the consent field that the form plugin itself offers.
Keeping proof
The free plugin blocks the form until the box is ticked. If you need to show later who agreed and to which text, ClearCrumb Pro adds Keep proof of every form consent: a record with the date, the form, the exact checkbox text and a hashed email, never the plain address. Pro also adds consent at WooCommerce checkout.
